Artist Turns Actual People Into Real-Life Barbie Dolls With Creepy Results

Vancouver-based photographer Hayden Wood spent six years working as a “creative retoucher” and graphic artist for advertising firm Ogilvy. Basically, he’s a pro at taking images of real people and manipulating them to extreme, even unrecognizable degrees. In this series, “Living Dolls,” he takes actual human models and turns then into real-life Barbie dolls. Deeply, horribly unsettling Barbie dolls.

(via Flavorwire though there’s an expanded gallery here [one image is NSFW]. Also, a quick, preemptive note on newness: some due diligence revealed these have been floating around the internet for a while now; sorry if you’ve seen them before but we sure hadn’t)

Thoughts after reading the title: So, he tears their heads off?

Can you mark the link to the website as NSFW please? It totally caught me off guard.

Sorry! I didn’t catch the nipples!

      Not a problem. Thanks!

This is beyond weird. As if dolls weren’t creepy enough already.
