This Is Where Manic Pixie Dream Girls Go To Die

Manic pixie dream girls tend to make their appearance at a very precise time in a film, and in turn, in a young man’s life. They show up when the man in question needs inspiration, to be shown how to live, and then they generally conveniently disappear.

But no film has shown (until now!) what happens if the gentleman stays with a MPDG for a long time. In this video, posted by NaturalDistronauts on YouTube, MPGDs find themselves ultimately placed in a state home by loved ones when it becomes clear that in the long run, a propensity for dancing in the rain and listening to the music in their hearts also tends to mean that they’re not particularly functional as adults.

In this video, the girl who is about to be dropped off by her sobbing husband tells the woman running the facility, “I paid the cab driver in buttons.”
