Khloe Kardashian Lost 20lbs In 20 Days, Is Finally, Truly Happy

Celebrities have it pretty dark and weird when it comes to weight: Khloe Kardashian in particular. It’s her and a few others–Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera–who champion curves when they have them, then go on talkshows in bikinis when they don’t. The “How I Learned to Love My Body” headlines become “How I Lost 25 Lbs… and Kept It Off!”

Whatever angle suits them, they either love their curves or they love massive checks from diet companies (speaking of which, remember when Khloe was the face of QuickTrim)? Anyway, the reality TV star lost 20 lbs in 20 days and that merits a bikini cover for Life & Style. Here goes:

“My husband is working out four to six hours a day right now, so I work out with him,” Khloe tells Life & Style. “We’ll do outside workouts and inside workouts. We’re always switching it up, so it’s fun.”

Now that Khloe is back in LA and things are looking up with Lamar’s career (he’s currently training for the Summer Olympics), the brunette bombshell is swapping Dallas comfort food for sensible salads.

“She eats mostly fresh fruits and vegetables, with small amounts of lean proteins like fish and chicken,” says Robbie Davis, who’s been training both Khloe and Lamar. ”She trains like an athlete when she’s with us, even doing weight training. We also run the canyons surrounding their house. Plus she does pilates and stair-running on her own.”

…What happened to things like, “They’re always saying, ‘I’m not the prettiest sister,’ or ‘I’m too fat’ or that… So when they asked me to be a on a cover like Cosmo, it was a big deal for me to show off my curves, and I don’t have to be a size zero to be on the cover” or also “I’m proud of my body. My body weight will always be something that I’ll struggle with for the rest of my life, but I’m finally in a good place and learning to love me for me, and not somebody else’s standards.”

Until next month, when Khloe embraces her curves and says some inspirational things about how you should love your body.

PS: That “Before: Sad and Bloated!” line is dreadful. Sounds like fat-shaming. Sounds familiar.

“Slim and overjoyed”? Good lord. More importantly, losing 20 lbs in 20 days is seriously not healthy. If a woman is trying to lose weight and keep it off, she should be losing between 2-4 lbs a week, not 1 a day. This is so gross and just makes me mad.

Totally agree, but I doubt it’s true anyway

If it’s 4 pounds a week, that’s 12 pounds. I don’t think it’s unrealistic for a woman her height and build to be carrying around 5 pounds of water weight, and for them to round 17 pounds to 20.

That said, it DOES create the false expectation that 20 pounds in 20 days is a reasonable thing that anyone can do.

She’s been in the press for not having kids yet & her husband’s career troubles. If the girl wants to lose weight to feel better, so be it.

      leave the girl alone.

Of course one can only wonder if Khloe will end up keeping the weight off, cause if you can put it off in record time you can rest assured you can put it all back and then some in record time too.

Don’t you wish you were a desperate media whore in search of an image that you could finally be at peace with?

Twenty days is a lot of time to get your pictures edited in photoshop.

As a mother of a daughter currently in inpatient treatment for anorexia I think this is completely irresponsible. As a fitness trainer I question the ability to work out 4-6 hours a day eating only some fruits and vegetables and small amounts of protein. I don’t equate happiness with weight, but I do equate anything Kardashian with being explotive, over the top and scripted. Be whoever you want, but be more than a number.
