Ashton Kutcher’s Karl Lagerfeld Impression Is Genuinely Terrible

We resent posting this because, ultimately, it’s just a bad commercial for Pop Chips, but it’s also Karl Lagerfeld-related, so here goes: Ashton Kutcher is an ad campaign that’s trying painfully to go viral, in which he does different (some say offensive) impressions as part of a faux-dating service. This, of a bacheor named Darl, is perhaps the most painful. Kucther doesn’t exactly know his way around accents, be they French, German… we think he was going for “fey, but also, like, European.”

Or maybe we’re just bitter because our Karl impression is much more precise.

Thank you! I was wondering if anyone was going to get around to pointing this out, what with the uproar over other segments of the ad. The Indian part is awful but this is also awful. Plus they apparently haven’t noticed Karl’s voice is NOT high- he actually has a rather baritonal timbre to his voice, which makes this “impression” even farther off. Ridiculous. And he’s looking like a woman impersonating Karl too, which is really odd.
