How Original Is Your Birthday?

You guys, I have to be honest, this is kind of depressing. I really like my September 28 birthday (feel free to send gifts), but according to this chart it is literally one of the most common birthdays you can have. It all feels so…cheap now.

August and September have always been the busiest birthday months for me. My brother and sister are both August as is my coworker and several friends. My birthday, my boyfriends, and numerous family and friends are in September. There are continuous birthday celebrations those months. The rest of the year is pretty sparse in comparison. I think this has to do with people getting busy around the holidays and during the coldest part of winter.

      June 17th. Average. Go figure.

September = nine months from Christmas / New Year.

It’s nice to see unborn babies respect the holiday season, though, and wait until after Christmas to be born.

I agree. Babies are usually so selfish.

uh oh.. apparently I was one of the few selfish unborn babies… (Dec 25)

Mine is a pretty light tan, almost white! (april 9th) So…proud, I guess? Although this is weird– so many late summer babies. And how did everyone just avoid Christmastime (even though the rest of the month is full of common birthdays…?… I am thinking too hard about this)

lol, Fabel, my birthday is April 9th too!

        Haha– hi, birthday twin!

This kinda makes me laugh. My great-grandmother once told me that there were so many September/October birthdays because it’s really cold in January. I thought about it for a little bit, and then had to agree with her. My family has a lot of birthdays in those two months. We also have a lot July and August birthdays. When I pointed this out to her she didn’t miss a beat in telling me that this was because it starts getting cold in October.

See, and in my family we have tons of January/February birthdays, and most of my friends are in March-May, so I’ve always felt special. NOT ANYMORE.

I have always taken an interest in birthdays and astrology, and I always felt that Aquarians were very hard to come by. Now I see why! As for Libras, well, apparently the world is swarming with them. Mine is March 31st- pretty average, I guess. It is so strange how one date can be really common and the date before or after very rare.

I’d be interested to see if this was the same all over the world, or if it’s just North America. I was always the only June baby growing up (28th. Clearly the best day of the year), but since moving to the States from New Zealand last year, I’m suddenly one of many.

It would be interesting to see if it changes in places where the seasons are different, or the big holidays are different.

September here. That’s when the school year starts, and that’s the oldest a kid can be in their year. A few months of age can give you a great advantage. My parents were good planners.

(I still have a gifted child mediocrity complex, but that’s another story).

Whoa… One of the only common days early in the year is valentines day

I remember when I first realized that other people have my birthday. I was devastated. And outraged.
