Did you know that Fitzgerald scripted a silent version of The Great Gatsby in 1926? You do now. This footage is all that now remains of it:

Basically, both F. Scott Fitzgerald and Baz Luhrmann appear to love one piece swimsuits. And eyeliner! God, everyone loves eyeliner. And synchronization! (Was that a thing that happened in the 1920′s? Were there parties with synchronized swimmers? I would not put it past anyone.) It would appear Fitzgerald loved people standing around and talking slightly more, though.
