Honey Boo-Boo Child Is Getting Her Own Show

Remember Honey Boo-Boo Child, the delightful six-year-old named Alana from “Toddlers and Tiaras” who drinks go-go juice and grabs handfuls of her belly, letting judges know that they “don’t know a good thing when they see one”? (I listed that all from memory, BTW.)

Well, apparently the people over at TLC do know a good thing when they see it, because they’ve given Alana and her Georgia-based family — along with her coupon-clipping mom and (twist!) her pregnant 16-year-old sister — their own spinoff show, “Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo.” US Weekly reports:

Consisting of six half-hour episodes, the new series will give viewers “an inside look into Alana’s world,” the network says in a statement.

The breakout star “proves that she is more than just a Go-Go Juice-drinking beauty queen,” the statement continues. “When she’s not chasing after crowns, Alana’s with her family in rural Georgia doing what her family does best: four-wheeling through mud pits and picking up road kill for the family cookout.”

Sweet Zombie Jesus! Why won’t my DVR let me set recordings for August! Nevermind, I’ll busy myself learning to perfect my at-home Go-go juice making for the premiere!

As a native-born Georgia resident, stories like this make me weep. I promise we are not all like this.

This is a cruel thing to do to that poor girl. They’re just making these shows for people to laugh at and judge a kid too young to know what’s really happening. I hope the money they make from the show helps them with the teen pregnancy and Alana’s education, at least… still, this is sickening.

Ugh, I really did not want this! I don’t want that horrible “coupon queen” trailer trash of a woman profiting from the terrible way she is raising her daughter!
