Most Women Would Choose Sex Over Food

As part of a survey about dating and eating, Match.com and the Today Show asked a bunch of singles whether they’d rather give up sex or their favorite food. Unsurprisingly, more than half of women said that they’d rather hang on to having sex. But what’s weird is that the way it was reported seemed to suggest that most women would prefer food over sex.

The survey reads:

If forced to choose, 39% of single women would rather give up sex than their favorite food for a year, while only 16% of single men would give up sex for their most favored meal.

Now, I don’t know about you, but when I do the math, that means that 61% of women would rather give up food than sex, which means that those ladies like sex better than food. So why the emphasis on giving up sex?

Well, probably because it makes a better headline. Lame.

Makes perfect sense to me….because they asked SINGLES

    Lame. ;)

Maybe they’re trying to highlight the contrast – women are more likely to give up sex for food than men.

Reminds me of that survey where 68% of women would give up sex for a month in exchange for the “perfect body”. A similar one from a few years ago that said half of women would give up sex FOR THE ENTIRE SUMMER rather than gain ten pounds.

These surveys seem like a waste of resources. Do they even serve a purpose?
