Marion Cotillard Has Officially Arrived As Proven By Gracing The Cover Of 3 Magazines In August

Well if this isn’t a lovely occurrence to go along with our Bastille Day preparation week!

One of France’s most talented and stunning actresses, Marion Cotillard, will find her face everywhere on newsstands in just a matter of a couple weeks. Both Vogue and Vogue Paris, as well as Marie Claire UK, will be featuring the French beauty on their covers just in time for the July 20th premiere of The Dark Knight Rises, in which she plays Miranda Tate.

Since seeing La Vie En Rose, I’ve been mildly obsessed with Cotillard. Not just because of her breathtaking beauty that forces me to hear Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” from Top Gun in my head every time I see her, but because she is one of the best actresses of her generation. It was her dead-on performance of tortured French songstress, Edith Piaf, that made everyone sit up and take notice — she also won the Oscar that year for her role in the exquisitely heartbreaking film.

Although The Dark Knight Rises is bound to be amazing as is, having Cotillard on board to add some French flavor to the cast will be like the icing on the cake of it all. Between her character and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as police office John Blake, on top of the usual cast of characters, it looks to be a fantastic summer movie (I refuse to write “blockbuster.”)

Marion is a classic beauty that is so rare now. Have you ever seen the movie Love Me If You Dare? I think that’s where I was first introduced to her. God, I adore the French.

I’ve also been in love with JGL ever since I saw him in Brick.

I have Love Me If You Dare in my Netflix queue! But my account is on hold until I get back to the city… argh.

I’ve been in love with JGL since Brick too… and as much as I hate to admit it, (500) Days of Summer really sealed the deal on him for me… his character loved The Smiths and wore cardigans! LOVE.

You have to let me know what you think of it when you finally get to watch it. When do you return?

JGL is going to play Daniel Day-Lewis’ son in this year’s Lincoln. I am ridiculously excited about this because I also love DDL.

I’ll definitely let you know what I think after I finally see it.

I’m not sure when I’m returning exactly — the first week in August, perhaps? I don’t know… it all depends on my mood, I suppose. My subleter is in my place until the 3rd, I think.

Honestly, I have no idea about pretty much anything… as you can see.

Yes! Lincoln! They should put that on the poster instead of a tagline:

I am ridiculously excited about this.

Cotillard will also be on the covers of WSJ (Wall Street Journal) MAGAZINE, MADAME (Figaro), MADAME (non-Figaro), French ELLE, STUDIO CINE LIVE, and, reportedly, French GLAMOUR. during July and august.. All this has been building for four years since she won the Oscar in 2008. But it’s also related to the rapturous reception of RUST & BONE at Cannes (15-minute standing ovation). Many top actors and directors are now touting Cotillard for another batch of prizes during Awards Season 2013. Undoubtedly, this is a artist to watch. Of course, being in BATMAN doesn’t hurt, either.
