Where Are They Now: Disney Families After Their Movies Have Ended

As long as the internet exists, there will be a market for Disney fanart. DeviantArt user Grodansnagel puts a Disney spin on Where Are They Now? with various princesses and their respective princes. Not to ruin anything, but the surprising result is they all have babies. Babies of differing ages and sizes! Some of these Disney families appear more functional than others, too.

Maybe next she could do an E! True Hollywood Story?

The last one is from Tangled, it’s Rapunzel and Flynn! (she gets a haircut)

    • Ashley Cardiff

6 minutes from publication. Very impressive, Allison.

    • NotThumper

      Beat me to it Allison.
I didn’t think Pocahontas wound up with John Smith…though I admit I didn’t watch her sequel but I know the real Pokey didn’t.

  • Maggie

I hope this doesn’t sound offensive, but why is Pocahontas’ kid so… white?

    • Crystal

Maggie, you can’t just ask people why they’re white!

    • Lauren

      Crystal, that was so fetch.

    • Kristina

Lauren, stop trying to make fetch happen! It is not going to happen!

    • Maggie

      LOL best replies EVER.

If it makes up for it, I can put my whole fist in my mouth…

  • Sarah

I’m not sure I understand the point of this other than finding a 19-year-old on deviantART and making fun of her art. That’s kind of weird, guys.

    • Amanda

Yeah, I’m trying to figure out the same thing here. A bit needlessly cruel, if you ask me.

    • Sarah

@Amanda – Exactly. If this was actual Disney canon, I’d get it. I’d get the criticism. But this is just how some teenage girl imagined these families and it makes me feel uncomfortable to watch grown women make fun of her art.

    • Lillie

Yeah, I mean, honestly they’re sorta cute, albeit not terribly creative. They’re very well done. I mean, making fun of someone’s art that they obviously took a lot of time making just seems a bit mean. Not exactly in the Disney Princess spirit, you know?

  • Joanna

I was not expecting to think about mermaid-human procreation today.

  • Nichole

Does no one else find the logistics of the little mermaid picture strange?
    a) why does Ariel have a tail?
    b) why does the daughter have a tail, and the son not?
    c) what??

Also, all the boy kids automatically get the mom coloring, and the girls get the dads… Interesting concept.

Ps. Good catch on the rapunzel one, I was confused about that also.

    • Lucky

Apparently she based the family on “The Little Mermaid 2.” Except for the son. He did not appear in that movie.

    • Cori

Except for Cinderella, her son takes after dad, coloring-wise.

  • Joyf

Last slide: puh-leeze. Rapunzel post-haircut and her thief-lover. Didn’t you watch Tangled?

  • Naomi

Sleeping Beauty has twins because that’s what happens in the original fairly tale. The prince rapes her while she is asleep, she gets pregnant, she gives birth, and she wakes up when one of them tries to nurse. Go figure.

  • JD

Why did every single one have to be shown with babies/kids? Sheesh.

  • topf

I hate that they’re all so family conservative. I want some of them to decide to not have kids, to get pets instead or to share their kids with a homosexual couple or… just to do something less usual. I dont like normal families.

    • Nancy

Same! I wish they looked older, too. It would have been cool if Ariel’s little boy had a fish head with legs :) That said, I like these pictures!

    • Austin

Because all societies revolve around the family unit?

  • Cori

@ NotThumper.. You are right, Pocahontas married John Rolfe (spelling might be wrong) in the sequel and also in real life. Not John Smith.

  • Cori

And no, Shan did not die in Mulan or in Mulan 2. I have seen all of these.

  • Camila

The last one is from the new disney movie Tangled!

  • Riley

Megara didn’t turn out to be evil. In mythology Hera makes Hercules go batshit crazy and he murders Meg and their children.

Tangled is my favorite princess movie, so I do think the last one is pretty adorable.

  • brian gumble

    she didn’t marry john

    • Laura

no need to be married to have a baby .

    • orlandude

Well but if you see the second movie (which is actually terrible) She only meets John Smith again for a VERY LONG TIME after they last saw each other on the end of the first movie but how she gets to London and sees John Smith again is with this guy (who I did not like compared to John Smith) Called John Roulth (I think my spelling is off) which in actual history she marries. Really I got the 2 movie blu ray combo pack and ive watched the first one like 15 times while the 2nd I saw only once cause its really bad and it was the first time ive seen it and what I really wanted was the first movie. But if you wanna know how the story ended watch the second movie but only once, really I now see the first one much different because of the piece of crap the second one was.

  • Cecilie Sabroe

The last one is Tangled, for everyone wondering :)

  • Marisa

That last one is from Tangled, you’d have to watch the movie to understand why she doesn’t have long blonde hair anymore

  • Arif

Why did Aladdin and Yasmine adopt Molan’s baby?

  • Cassie

Did anyone catch that Aurora had twins (1 boy and 1 girl) and Briar Rose, which Sleeping Beauty was based off of, got raped and pregnant with twins while asleep? No? Just me? k then.

  • Grivessillus

Some of those are bad! WTH was was going on with that crap Pocahontas?! His shoes! And the childs way too white. And the child in Snow Whites definately got rosascea, lol. The last ones Tangled. It’s based off Rapunzel. She has very long blonde hair in most of and the promo shots and short brown hair at the end. Playing in a swamp for The Princess And The Frog. I know it involves frogs, but playing ina swamps too far, lol. I think I’ve seen this artist on deviant art. Could be someone else who does similer things, though.

    • DTMB

well i’m white, (fair to albino) and my husband is indigenous mexican (as close to native american as you can get) and our baby is as white as me. You never know what you’re gonna get. I thought the baby’d have a tan complexion but he’s extremely fair with dark blonde hair and hazel eyes.

    • Grivessillus

Cool. True, you never know what will happen in genetics.

  • Shangsa77

Why must they all have children?? Strange conception of happiness…
