Larissa Summers, Person Desperate To Be Famous, Suffers Botched Lip Injections… AT A TRADE SHOW

That's my favorite quote on Facebook, too!

Another day, another UK woman famous for her debilitating addiction to plastic surgery. Or, perhaps more accurately, her debilitating addiction to attention, whether good or bad. This week’s sad example is Larissa Summers, a 27-year-old blonde from Nottingham, England who has spent somewhere between £30,000 and £60,000 on plastic surgery. If that wasn’t disturbing, here’s the first thing you read on her website:

From the age since I can remember I have always wanted to be celebrity. A famous model, a famous actress and a house hold name …..

Why ?!?! Because I wanted to have the power to make a difference in the world – I wanted to have a voice that would be heard – I know I have so much to offer and will make a difference, I want to do lots more charity work, help the needy and to spread the word that you should NEVER be ashamed of who or what you are, or what you want to become – no matter who tells you otherwise

I will never give up on my dreams and I will succeed – no matter what …..

Yikes.

The story goes that Summers received some lip injections and her mouth ballooned to… considerably more than its normal size:

“Lip job did this to me” seems to be confusing cause and effect, but whatever.

As for the catch? Summers apparently got the injections while modeling as a “booth babe” at a trade show. No, seriously:

She was modelling at a trade fair in London when promotions staff from another stand approached, touting for customers to have lip-fillers injected there and then. Laura had had similar procedures in the past and recalled: “They said they were licensed and legitimate so I thought, ‘Why not?’

“I had the fillers put in by injection. It only took a few minutes and it all seemed really professional. I went back to work at my stand but an hour or so later started to feel really odd. I felt light-headed and I couldn’t feel my lips at all. I figured it was probably normal, so I carried on.”

But soon her whole face was numb and she began dribbling uncontrollably. She told The Sun: “It was like I’d been to the dentist and had an anesthetic.”

Laura went back to the stall but the firm had gone. The next day she woke up to her horrifying swelling and went straight to hospital.

WAS IT EVEN A PLASTIC SURGERY TRADE SHOW?

Obviously, this sucks and no one should have to endure having his/her lips look like a distended anus but, girl… you opted to get a cosmetic procedure at a trade show. The Sun says she’s vowed to “never risk her health again,” though it’s unclear if that means abstaining from plastic surgery entirely or just abstaining from plastic surgery in trade show booths. Summers says, pricelessly, “It’s dishonest and they are playing with people’s lives.”

Also, of course Summers has a reality TV show to promote. You know, to further her charity work/needy helping/word spreading career.
