Lauren Scruggs Speaks In Public For First Time Since Plane Accident

Lauren Scruggs, the 24-year-old former model who lost an eye and a hand to an accident with an airplane propeller, is speaking out — and appearing — publicly for the first time since incurring her injuries.

Looking gorgeous and smiling, Scruggs told Savannah Guthrie that (and I paraphrase) much of what’s gotten her through her injury and recovery so far is her faith.

“I’m feeling good,’’ Scruggs said. “I think physically, it’s good that I’m off all my pain meds and all medication and haven’t had pain since January, so that’s a blessing. Emotionally, days are hard sometimes, just accepting the loss of my eye and hand, but it just gets better and I realize God’s in control of my life and there’s a purpose to this story.’’

I’m assuming her “new perspective” is one lacking depth perception.

I’M SORRY! I just had to make that joke.

      I’m terrible. I’m sorry.
