10 Bloody, Spooky Yet Romantic Movies Just In Time For Your Halloween Date Night

"HOLD ME." "I CAN'T."

With Halloween being on Wednesday next week, there’s a good chance that your big, fancy events will be taking place over this upcoming weekend. Great! Have you decided what you’re going to be yet? Please tell me someone is going as Slimer from Ghostbusters.

So, what does one do mid-week when Halloween rolls around and you have to be to work the next morning by 9am? You stay in with some popcorn, have over the ladies or do a spooky date night in which you keep asking your boyfriend: “Would you fuck me? I’d fuck me,” just like you’re Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs.

Whether you’re doing it solo or with some buddies, Halloween calls for equal parts blood, monsters and romance. Werewolves need love, too, dammit! Here are 10 spooky movies with just the right amount of love to make your Halloween something out of a fairytale.

For the last couple years I’ve enjoyed adding Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd musical to that list. Nothing like killing for love, only to discover you’ve killed it in the end.

As one who doesn’t like musicals, I just couldn’t get into it. I’m ashamed to say, I never even finished watching it.

I don’t like ALL musicals, but the ones I like, I love.

Give it a second chance. It starts slow, but the third act is where it all gets really twisted, and the tragedy at the climax ties it all together.

About The Crow: What’s more romantic than a Halloween wedding? Especially one that is tragically prevented by (attempted) double murder?
