Retro Snap: This Is The Best Picture Of An Ex-President Ever

Click through, because this is the best picture ever. Ever. In this history of pictures of ex-presidents.

president ronald reagan

It’s Ronald Reagan being leg-clutched by an Asian child. It’s amazing that this wasn’t used on posters to represent America’s place in the world through every single aspect of Reagan’s presidency. Also, read this staggeringly great article about him. It will cling to your heart and brain like a terrified child.

Reagan has a legacy so distorted by the Conservative idolization of him that we may never have a clear picture of the real man behind the television set beyond the elaborate myth now concocted around him. Did he really rid the world of commie scum? Did destroy or save our economy? Check out my portrait of The Gipper and help me figure it out on my artist’s blog at with some Cold War Hollywood!

He did but in Ca where now there are just dems all I see are dems being charged with stealing and cheating. The idea that one party will save us is wrong. They all cheat. Look at this case While California is known for having some of the toughest DUI laws in the nation, it seems Bobby Brown has been let off easy. He was released Wednesday after serving nine hours of his 55-day jail sentence for driving under the influence.

L.A. County sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore told the media that Brown was released early due to jail overcrowding and good behavior. A representative for the R&B singer said he is at home with his family.

        How did he get off?

I’m suprised the Hairpin article skipped over his time as Governor of California. When I was living in California from early ’86 thru the first half of ’88, the Left loved to bring up his time as Governor, and the war he waged on them from the late ’60s thru the mid ’70s. His hawkish foreign policy was mostly due to the fact that the defense industry was based in California. Once again he was taking care of another important client. The question is did he honestly believe he could out arms race the Soviet Union? Or was his foreign policy specifically designed, cause he knew it would benefit that constituency?
