Gallery: Kristen Stewart’s Many Red Carpet Sneakers

The last Twilight installment is upon us (well, tomorrow)! That means an upkick in Kristen Stewart Robert Pattinson romance speculation, lots of sheer dresses and an end to this long dark period in human history. But rather than doing your average “X celebrity’s best red carpet looks” roundup that is typical on the eve of a big premiere–it would just be sheer lace dresses anyway–we decided to celebrate Stewart’s other trademark: the many Chuck Taylors, slip-on Vans and Nike lowtops she switches into after suffering a few feet of red carpet in towering heels. Let us begin:

At the London premiere of Snow White and The Huntsman, in Marchesa and Nike.

At her footprint ceremony outside Mann’s Chinese Theatre, in Marios Schwab and Vans.

At Comic-Con 2012–not sure if these fancy Barbara Bui “fashion hightops” count.

Premiere of  On the Road during Toronto International Film Festival, in Zuhair Murad.

At Snow White and the Huntsman Germany photocall in 10 Crosby and a McQ belt.

At the Breaking Dawn U.K premiere, in Roberto Cavalli and Nikes.

At the 2009 MTV Awards, on the red carpet proper in Chucks.

At 2012 MTV Movie Awards–she wore heels on the carpet, but switched into Chucks for the ceremony.

At the premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman, in a midriff-baring Balmain and Chucks.

At the premiere of Love Ranch in Vans.

Stay indie, K Stew.

I do this, but usually with flats. I mean, I own heels and love the way they look but they HURT! I remember going to a wedding and being on the dancefloor with my best friend and she would stop dancing every minute or so and hold onto my shoulders in order to balance on one foot for 20 seconds and rest it. I…. just cant suffer like that. Some people think converse/ vans or any other type of flat is ridiculous but so does being a dancefloor flamingo. And, its much more sanitary than going barefoot, which I see happening often.

I always feel so gross wearing sneaks and skirts, maybe something personal about my feet and or legs, but I like that she does this.
Somet times the shoes look stupid but sometimes they look cute.
      Good going sullen starlet!
