Miss Russia Contestant Natalia Pereverzeva Says Super Weird Stuff About Russia At Miss Earth Contest

natalia Pereverzeva

First of all, there’s a Miss Earth contest, second of all, Russian contestant Natalia Pereverzeva got really real when talking about her country during it.

When asked why she was proud of Russia she replied:

‘My Russia, it is bright, warm, patched, but it is so pleasant to slumber under it on a winter evening when the storm rages outside. My Russia, it is a kind cow with very big eyes, funny horns and always chewing its mouth oh, what sweet milk she gives! Oh, how it smells — meadow herbs and the sun.’

So she is proud of Russia because it has greenery and is cow-like. The correct answer is always “freedom,” so she got that question wrong, but no matter. This is where the matter part comes in:

‘But my Russia — it is also my poor, long-suffering country, mercilessly torn to pieces by greedy, dishonest, unbelieving people. My Russia, it is a great artery, from which the ‘chosen’ few people draining away its wealth. My Russia is a beggar. My Russia cannot help her elderly and orphans. From it, bleeding, like from a sinking ship, engineers, doctors, teachers are fleeing, because they have nothing to live on. My Russia — it is a winner which has overthrown fascism but bought the victory at the expense of lives of millions of people. How, tell me, how and why does nationalism prosper in this country? My dear, poor Russia.’

Lady. The correct answer is “freedom.”

Way to miss the point. She was actually brave for saying tat and may face repurcussions in her country for saying these ‘weird’ things

I agree, way to miss the point. She was making a statement about what’s happened to Russia – a lot of it facilitated by the West, particularly America. That country has been destroyed, its national assets stolen and privatised, its people left destitute. And that process is still ongoing. Speaking out like this could cause her huge problems at home and it was very brave of her to do it.

Yeah, it took a lot of guts for her to voice out like that. Putin’s getting too comfortable having some form of power, either being President or Prime Minster gaoing all the way back into the late ’90s – their election process is starting to look rigged.

What a silly “freedom” stereotype. Shame on you. Cheers for the brave girl.
