Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got married on Christmas… or, perhaps more accurately, Did Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie get married on Christmas? That’s what the Telegraph is reporting.
Apparently the entire Jolie-Pitt brood (and their many nannies) spent the holidays in the Caribbean’s Turks and Caicos Islands. Not so unusual that a family would be together on Christmas–but also a convenient cover if they’re trying to discreetly marry. The world’s most famous family stayed on friend Donna Karan‘s private estate.
The Telegraph has some highly detailed descriptions of Karan’s deeply silly sounding getaway to lend credence to their otherwise (seemingly) baseless story:
The Sanctuary’, a collection of three secluded villas, three open-air pavilions and four swimming pools, was built by Karan as a “cocoon of serenity” for her family following the death of her husband Stephan Weiss in 2001.
The entire estate, styled in a hybrid Indonesian/African style, sleeps 22, but Parrot Cay is dotted with similarly luxurious private residences, perfect for their entourage (one local told a journalist that the couple had been spotted with two nannies per child in tow), and wedding guests.
A cocoon of serenity.
Neither Pitt’s nor Jolie’s people are commenting at this time. Either they pulled a fast one on the international media or you can expect some grainy Us Magazine spreads in the coming weeks.
…Or, of course, this never happened and a rumor spread to the media, who breathlessly reported it because people are really, really invested in the glamorous union of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Only time will tell!
Also. If the story is true, wouldn’t it mean that Karan designed Jolie’s wedding gown? Would be super awkward if no.
