When I think of all the incredibly good looking people in the world, David Beckham often gets left behind. It’s not that I don’t find him attractive — good god, do I find him attractive — but merely that the American media doesn’t discuss him as much as the rest of the world’s, although ours definitely covers his wife, perhaps because our generation will never quite get over the Spice Girls breaking up.
When I saw that Beckham is starring in the new H&M campaign, I got rather excited. I come from a soccer-loving household and therefore have a special place in my heart for those who play it. I also have a special place in my heart for extremely good looking men with get abs running around in their underwear, but I digress.
For the reasons above, I’m anticipating some great shots in their actual advertisements, particularly because the campaign was directed by Guy Ritchie. Since it’s a bodywear line, I can imagine that the production meeting included the phrase, “Just take as many pictures of Beckham’s abs as possible.” H&M says the campaign, which will debut on February 6, will be “a Valentine’s gift in and of itself,” so I guess we’ll just have to trust them. For now, however, we can take a look at the set photos and do some speculating on what Becks is thinking.
