Last night, the SAG Awards took place. We brought all the looks from the red carpet, from the pre-party circuit, we brought you the ten best dressed along with the best and worst beauty. Now, unfortunately, it’s time for the ten worst dressed.
Below are the frumpiest, silliest, most over-styled and occasionally hideous looks from the 2013 SAG Awards..
We normally really like Rose Byrne; she’s like a grown-up Leighton Meester in that she sometimes nails it, occasionally flops but almost always looks interesting doing it. Last night’s Valentino was not one of her more successful looks.
Also in Valentino was Lea Michele, who took a tricky hot pink dress with a lot of potential and crushed it under the weight of terrible ombre hair.
Yes, we’ve already harped on Kaley Cuoco‘s wig, but her Romona Keveza needs to be discussed, too. They must not have shortened it from the runway version, because this hits where it should on someone six inches taller. And those felt red pumps?
Nothing about Jessica Pare‘s Jason Wu made any sense.
With completely different hair and makeup, we could have really loved January Jones in Prabal Gurung–in that fashion forward icequeen kind of way. But, alas.
What in appliqué patchwork hell was Karl Lagerfeld thinking? Poor Julianne Moore in Chanel Couture.
Julianna Margulies in Chado Ralph Rucci could have worked, somewhere, somehow. But the hair and the busy shoes and something about the fit just made everything feel so off.
Sigourney Weaver’s Lanvin looked like a beautifully cut trashbag.
Julie Bowen wore a Johanna Johnson skinsuit.
Also, leather/pleather dresses on the red carpet feel so very pre-Gaia Angelina Jolie.
And the cheesiest look of the evening perhaps goes to Jamie Alexander in Marc Bouwer. Strikes us as early ’00s Caché.
