Tanning Mom Really Shouldn’t Be A Mom

Tan Mom Patricia Krentcil revisits XL nightclub

Remember Patricia Krentcil, the New Jersey mom who supposedly took her five year old daughter to a tanning salon? She ended up drunk onstage at the New York nightclub XL, falling down and exposing her underwear. And then she tried to attack a drag queen.

And, according to the NY Post:

“She was stumbling drunk,” said a spy who added that Krentcil “seemed incoherent” staggering onstage to Madonna’s “Lucky Star.

Krentcil also got into a verbal altercation with a lighting technician after bizarrely calling the spotlight “The North Star.”

The North Star thing kind of makes sense given that she was onstage while Lucky Star was playing, but none of the rest of this does.

I spent a long time – like, a good three minutes- debating whether to use this incendiary headline. I guess, theoretically, I believe in moms’ rights to drunkenly stumble onstage blithely attacking drag queens. Why? Because freedom to be the kind of woman you want to be, I guess. Or, at least, I believe that anybody is probably a mess a few times in their lives, most of us just aren’t photographed while we are being a mess.

But then I remembered that time she put her five year old in a tanning salon. So, I feel okay about it.
