10 Questions Necessary To Ask Yourself Before Sending Nude Pictures (NSFW)

As a strong advocate for people being naked in general, I find that sexting is a pretty good way of getting excited about romance with a person. I believe that it can create an excellent source of sexual tension, an appetite for one another when you’re far apart and just plain flirty, giggly feelings. Most people I know have, at some point, sent a person a sexy text message and/or naked photo or at least find it socially acceptable, and unless you’re from the New York Times, chances are that you take little issue with consensual adults sending nude pictures to each other.

I also believe in taking precautions to avoid winding up naked on the Internet. It’s not as though I think it’s classless or tacky or anything ridiculous like that; in all actuality, I simply don’t feel comfortable with the idea of somebody I’m related to accidentally coming across a photo of me that is less-than-clothed. I wish I were more okay with being all “out there” and at ease with my body in its natural state, but as of yet, I am not — thus, the steps to avoid e-boob glory.

Unfortunately, there are people who revel in the embarrassment that accompanies having a nude picture shared without your consent. 95% of people believe their personal stuff is safe with their partners, but quite a few still leak things they may have promised not to. And there are, sadly, people who have made entire fortunes simply based on this rather cruel breach of trust. Considering 43% of guys and 29% of females plan on sending a sexy photo this Valentine’s Day, I figured that now was as good a time as any to discuss the questions you should ask yourself prior to sending a photo sext. Obviously, if you’re totally comfortable with people seeing your naked, this is irrelevant. But if you’re paranoid and awkward about it all like me, then perhaps these will help you sort out whether or not you want to (and how to do so, if you decide the answer’s “yes”).

The rose, either one above, looks like the one on the cover of the Dead’s ‘American Beauty’. :) Maybe cause more than half my life is pre-tech boom – but the sensation of the contours of a woman’s body, especially in the dark, are worth a thousand pictures of her nude.
