Once upon a time, Lindsay Lohan wore a sparkly, beaded, nude and silver gown by Theia to the amfAR gala, an AIDS benefit to which she was not officially invited. As Ashley noted, it was hardly a red carpet home run, but at least she didn’t do anything wildly inappropriate, right?
Do you know anything about Lindsay Lohan? According to Us Magazine, Lindsay took her hubris to new heights when she decided to alter the borrowed dress herself. And not just any old way. A mullet-y way.
“She said that the dress had ripped [at a club after the fundraiser] — she couldn’t possibly wear it like that — so her stylist friend went to the club bouncer and requested some scissors to repair the torn part of the dress,” a frenemy of hers tells the tabloid. “But what bouncer has scissors? She turned it into a mullet! Only a fashiony person would do that! She’s out of control and behaving really badly.”
Assuming this is true (and the picture is certainly damning), it’s an especially bold move for Lindsay, considering she only got the dress to begin with after her patron/enabler Charlie Sheen called in a favor for her and offered to pay for half of it. (They ended up just lending it to her in the end, whoops.)
For Theia’s part, a rep has been emailing vaguely pissed off statements out, like the following one they gave to The New York Daily News:
“We were informed by Mr. Bloch’s assistant that the dress was damaged during the course of the evening. Further action has yet to be determined.”
The moral of the story? Don’t lend your expensive shit to someone who is only going to style it badly and turn it into something unfit for one of Ke$ha‘s music video extras to wear. At least she didn’t steal it? Baby steps.
