Was it weird when Michelle Obama suddenly just appeared hovering onscreen at the Oscars? Especially because William Shatner did the same thing earlier in the evening? It was pretty weird. Though her speech was very nice! If you’re interested in what she said, she announced the best picture winning by stating:
“These nine movies took us back in time and all around the world. They made us laugh, they made us weep, and they made us grip our armrests just a little tighter. They taught us that love can endure against all odds and transform our lives in the most surprising ways, and they reminded us that we can overcome any obstacle if we can dig deep enough and fight hard enough and find the courage to believe in ourselves.”
That’s a nice message! If you’re interested in why she was in a ballgown, it’s not just because she was at the Oscars, it’s because she was being broadcast from the Governors’ Ball in Washington.
