Sweaty men from all across the land are facing off today to see who will be the new owner of the (hopefully unwashed) sports bra and shirt Jennifer Lawrence wore in select scenes of Silver Linings Playbook. Oh boy!
Billed by the auctioneer as “screen-worn wardrobe” from the “2012 hit,” the lot includes a “racerback sports bra by Gap Body” in “size 36C,” as well as an XS long-sleeved shirt by Threads 4 Thought. You know, the one “leading lady” Tiffany wore while she was fumbling dance steps and making sexy-crazy-eyes at Bradley Cooper. It is from storied design house The Gap, people. Do not miss your chance to own this glamorous piece of cinema history.
It doesn’t say whether the bra and shirt still smell like Jennifer Lawrence, but that hasn’t stopped eight fans from bringing the bidding from its starting point of $100 to over $1,000 as I write this (and there’s still over a day left!). And why shouldn’t they? I mean, Jennifer Lawrence’s famously awesome boobs have been all up in there. Whether or not her magic boob sweat is still there, it was there once, and that’s what matters. Even the tiniest molecular drop distilled from the bra’s silver linings is enough to give you boners and/or cure you of cancer for years!
Of course, $1,000 might be a little high for most people, and who knows what the winning bid will be? For the creep on a budget, I suggest checking out Ebanned and select Tokyo vending machines for similarly scented, if less Jennifer Lawrence-y, products.
