Whenever the pop cultural landscape gets so horrible such that it seems almost unreal, it’s nice to be reminded of purely awesome people like Tilda Swinton. She stopped by the Diesel+Edun launch party for Studio Africa (a platform developed by both brands to support their collaboration and celebrate creative talent in Africa) and looked impeccable and original, like always.
We are pretty into everything here, because Tilda easily side-steps looking like a street style photog-stalking fashion blogger by keeping accessories to a bare minimum. Yup, while this outfit could easily sink–piling on “statement” jewelry, rows of bangles, clashing wedges, a “bold lip”–Tilda side-steps disaster with classic black pumps, natural (if any) makeup and no jewelry to speak of. This way, the crazy jumble of prints just competes with itself.
Also, the relaxed, faint drop-crotch of the trouser is awesome. That is all.
