Your Gross Poor People Shoes Are Giving Sarah Jessica Parker Foot Problems

I am not a big shoe person. I have exactly one pair of designer shoes that I found, miraculously, for literally one-tenth of their cost at Buffalo Exchange. Other than that, and with the exception of running shoes, I’m a $40 and under kinda gal. However, I’ve always admired the shoe collections of women who truly adore footwear, including Sarah Jessica Parker. However, this does not go both ways — apparently, SJP has some serious issues with normal people shoes.

“For ten or so years, I literally ran in heels,” said Parker to Net-A-Porter. “I worked 18-hour days and never took them off. I wore beautiful shoes, some better made than others, and never complained.”

A REAL HUMAN BEING, AND A REAL HERO.

After her tumultuous career having to move around while wearing fancy and occasionally normal (?!?!) shoes, SJP apparently found herself in a bit of a pickle regarding her feet. As a result of all those heels, her feet have apparently gained a bit of a strange add-on. Despite all heels typically having a negative effect on your feet, she blames the poor’uns.

“I did ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It,’ and I was very thoughtful about my whole wardrobe and said, you know, [Kate Reddy] could not afford really good footwear. So I got [lower priced] shoes and the bottoms weren’t leather, they were plastic, so I slipped a couple times, twisted my ankle.

I went to a foot doctor and he said, ‘Your foot does things it shouldn’t be able to do. That bone there… You’ve created that bone. It doesn’t belong there.’ The moral of the story is, the chickens are coming home to roost. It’s sad, because my feet took me all over the world, but eventually they were like, ‘You know what, we are really tired, can you just stop – and don’t put cheap shoes on us?’”

While I’m not remotely surprised to hear her say the last sentence, particularly on Net-A-Porter, I nevertheless can’t help but find it annoying. It’s a bit out-of-touch to whine about having to wear cheap clothing in a day and age where there are millions and millions of people who have no shoes (not even plastic-bottomed ones from Payless!).

It’s shoes like these, you silly plebeians, that are ruining her five-star feetsies:

On a side note, you would be shocked and possibly disturbed at how many photos there are of SJP on her way to pick up her kids from school.

Placing that gif there is genius! On my tiny laptop screen, I only saw it I as I scrolled down after that sentence and guffawed (no other word for it). Exactly mirrored my sentiment!

Congratulations on that piece of brilliance :D . Loved it. Still laughing.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that her feet are messed up because she’s worn nothing but heels for YEARS.

    • Jenni

So, wait. She is blaming her messed up feet, feet that have been stuffed into nothing but heels for YEARS, on ‘poor people shoes?’ WTFF (What The F**cky F**k) [Side note: Can I put that? I'm putting that]

So, she didn’t think that maybe all that running around in shoes designed to look good but not designed at all to actually support a human body did that her her feet. You know, she just moved her BONES around to help her balance. NBD. And, what qualifies as poor people shoes to her? $40? $80? $100? Really, I feel the need to know. I need to know if SJP (what is up with me and acronyms?) thinks I’m poor. I already know I am but I need her validation!

i dont know if you read the quotes, but she never once used the phrase “poor people shoes”

i think you are really stretching this “poor people shoes” thing. she’s just saying that some shoes are built better than others and she, like everyone else, regardless if they can afford it, prefers to wear shoes that are more comfortable and better constructed. besides cheap is a subjective word, it means different things for diferent people and everyone uses the word

Wow, she’s such a fucking wussy whore. Blaming “poor people’s shoes” for her goddamned messed up feet. Wear some others shoes then, dumbass!
