Net-A-Porter To Add Beauty Products To Site

net-a-porterIf you’re anyone who loves fashion, you’re probably well aware of Net-a-porter. And in being aware of it, you’ve also probably pined over many of the clothes, sent links to friends and maybe even softly weeped because your dream dress is out of your price range.

As of March 20th, the site that has pretty much every designer you’d want under one roof, will be adding beauty products. But not just any beauty products, but the type that, according to WWD will include hard to find, luxury products of which a lot of us have probably never heard. Which, actually, will be awesome. Just because you don’t roll with the rich and famous, doesn’t mean you can’t use the same moisturizer.

According to managing director Alison Loehnis, the move to add beauty was an obvious evolution for the site. What’s fashion without beauty? It’s like sky without the blue!

As we started to expand it was a disconnect to not be able to offer beauty. By being at the front lines, we have an enormous amount of insight and exposure to talent and also product.

What this means for you is more time on Net-a-porter during work hours, more links you’ll be sending to your friends and less attention to deadlines and PowerPoint presentations. Yes, everything will be right with the world as of March 20th.

Meh, I just cant go to a site where I cant afford anything on. That’s also my problem with Refinery 29, Elle and Lucky Magazine. I love that crap, It would just make me want to spend tuition and rent on a dress, so until I get discovered as the short chubby Hispanic model all designers have been looking for, I will stick to The Budget Babe and just peek at other sites from time to time.
