Oprah Confirms She Has ‘Tig Ol’ Bitties’ Because She Has ‘Tig Ol’ Bitties’

oprah steve harveyDevastatingly handsome actor Terrance Howard has had a few things to say about Oprah‘s boobs since filming a love scene with the actress, former talk show host and overall conquerer of the world. The two star in the upcoming Lee Daniel‘s film, The Butler, and apparently they have one hell of a “salacious” scene in the movie.

When asked by Movie Fanatic about the scene that, at this point, is bound to be the selling point for the movie, Howard said, “To be able to make out with Oprah, to have love scenes with her and those tig ol’ bitties — she’s such a lovely and voluptuous woman. … She’s very, very, very beautiful, and that was wonderful.”

“Tig ol’ bitties.” It took me awhile to get that it was a play on words, and now I’ve adopted it as my own. I’ve called everything in my apartment “tig ol’ bitties” for over an hour now.

However, my affinity for this phrase aside because I think it’s fun to say, do you find it offensive? Would you want some dude who’s seen your breasts up close and personal remarking to others about your “tig ol’ bitties?” Maybe it’s the “old” part that ruffled feathers.

Although some thought this comment wasn’t exactly kosher, Oprah doesn’t seem to have a problem with it. As she told Steve Harvey on his show last week:

It was supposed to be this little scene and because Terrence Howard misbehaved it turned into a bigger scene, and then a bigger scene. He’s a misbehaving kind of boy…he was on Twitter the other day talking about my ‘breasteses. (sic)’

Some people called me saying that they all were offended and I go, ‘Well, I do have big breasteses’.

Well then. Since Oprah’s word is like the word of god, then cool. But as much as I like saying “tig ol’ bitties,” for my own personal entertainment, if someone referred to my boobs like that, there’d be one hell of a smack down. Even if that person in question is the devastatingly handsome Terrance Howard.

  • Not Offended

Growing up, the term “ol’” was used quite often with the word “big” not as the equivalent of “old” but of “very.” Someone could have “big ol’ shoes” a “big ol’ house” or a “big ol’ dog” without any of those things being actually “old” but rather, “very big.” I’m not sure if it’s AAVE (I can code switch between the dialect and SAE) or if it’s just a form of slang. I think that people who found his comment offensive are maybe just not familiar with the use of this modifier.

Also, I have tig ol’ bitties, and have been told as much and I was not offended.

It reminds me of The Peanuts… which quite effectively takes away everything that could have made me find it offensive. If someone were to describe my breasts as “tig ol’ bitties” (or rather “tirm ol’ fitties”, since I’m not exceptionally well-endowed) it’d make me laugh and think, awww.

I don’t have an opinion personally, but “old” usually doesn’t mean “elderly” or “saggy” or anything here. I know guys my age who use the term, referring to women my age (early 20s), and it’s always got a “positive” connotation. It’s for emphasis, not for further description.
