Here’s The Strange Outfit Madonna Wore To The GLAAD Awards

Madonna stopped by the GLAAD Awards this weekend to present the Vito Russo Award to Anderson Cooper. Here is the extremely weird outfit she wore.

Madonna went a little bit country, a little bit Boy Scout, and a little bit mall punk for the occasion, pairing a cowboy hat with retro waves, red lipstick, assorted flair, fingerless gloves and shorts (or is that a shorts suit?). She finished it off with fishnets and combat boots, improbably.

Do any super fans out there have any insight into this–is it a reference? Or is Madonna’s latest “reinvention” Roy Rogers goes to Warped Tour?

    She reminds me of that little kid from the Up movie. She should have showed up with a cute dog! Anyway I’m a little disappointed she didn’t have like a gay patch or a boy scout lover (adult man/woman of course!) or something. This is too tame, Madonna!

    One time when I was in high school, I wore a Boy Scout shirt that I found at a thrift store. I thought it looked cute and quirky. I did not use an ascot, and did not look like a hot mess –just the shirt, jeans, and some beautiful red sneakers. Some male friends who had been Boy Scouts were seriously offended. But I wasn’t impersonating a Boy Scout, so I thought their reaction was silly.
