Special Easter Bunny Wed Bed Dead: Would You Marry A Rabbit If It Had Scarlet Fever?

Hello there, Gloss fans! Welcome to this week’s episode of our our web series Wed Bed Dead, in which editors Jennifer Wright and Ashley Cardiff must decide the potentially very sexy fate of three chosen gentlemen (and occasionally ladies) (and, uh, animals). The show is a live action spin-off of their longrunning and delightful games of Fuck Marry Kill here on The Gloss.

This week, they’re playing a rabbit-centric game of Wed Bed Dead, in honor of the Easter Bunny. They’ll be mulling their romantic options with a cast of famous rabbits–Harvey (Jimmy Stewart‘s alcoholism-induced hallucination from Harvey), the perennially hopeless Trix Rabbit, and beloved/tragic childhood figure, the Velveteen Rabbit. Ahead, they discuss whether or not the Trix Rabbit is unforgivably incompetent and Jen figures she could tough out scarlet fever.

Tune in every Wednesday at 1:00 for new episodes of Wed Bed Dead… and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel.

Seriously. Don’t forget.

Also. A conundrum:

Wait, weird question. Are you playing the game with the Velveteen Rabbit *before* he’s turned into a real rabbit by the Nursery Fairy, or afterwards?

Oh, and don’t worry about Scarlet Fever…an adult with a healthy immune system is relatively immune. Thanks Wikipedia!

Before. Real rabbit is just weird.

And yeah, I didn’t bother to look up scarlet fever until I was posting the video this afternoon and I realized it’s only dangerous to 4-year-olds. Hindsight, man.

You’re right. Compared to a cartoon, hallucination, and a stuffed toy, a real rabbit is just too strange. :-)

Until yesterday I thought that scarlet fever was a super dangerous disease that would most likely kill you if you got it (thanks, Velveteen Rabbit and Little Women). Then my doctor tells me, oh no, it’s caused by the same bug that causes strep throat. Which I have right now, which is why it came up at all.

All this is to say, you guys could totally beat scarlet fever. You just have to get a giant shot of penicillin in the ass.
