Gwyneth Paltrow is hitting the promotional trail really hard for her latest cookbook–a collection of recipes not featuring food–and her latest stop is the cover of People magazine’s Most Beautiful issue. We’re not saying Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t very beautiful, we’re just saying these things are especially hard to take seriously when the person on the cover has something to peddle.
Oh! And since Paltrow is currently flat, Tracy Anderson-toned abs deep in trying to convince the world she’s a totally normal, likeable lady, People agreed to give her ample opportunity:
“Around the house, I’m in jeans and a T-shirt. I don’t really wear makeup. That’s what they’re used to,” she says. As for her husband, Chris Martin, “He’ll make a joke about it. If I’ve gotten fully dressed up, he’ll be like, ‘Oh, wow! You’re Gwyneth Paltrow!’ Because he’s used to seeing me in like baggy shorts and frizzy hair.”
First of all: dick move, Chris Martin.
Also: something something Tracy Anderson workout:
“It makes me look younger and feel strong,” says the actress, who does the Tracy Anderson Method five days a week. “When I first started, I thought, ‘I’ll never be good at this. This is a nightmare!’ But now it’s like brushing my teeth, I just do it.”
There you have it. Gwyneth Paltrow is a totally normal “jeans and t-shirt girl,” just regular old “eliminating” foodstuffs (unless they’re made of algea and dust), bein’ married to the singer of a massively successful corporate rock band, havin’ quiet nights in with Uncle J and Auntie B, spendin’ (at very least) $900 a month on gym time, recommendin’ half a million dollars in wardrobe essentials… you know, just predictable regular people stuff.
