Nobody Is Buying Rob Kardashian’s Passionate Socks

Arthur George by Robert Kardashian

Remember Arthur George, Rob Kardashian‘s line of fine socks that were supposed to help him strike out from his family and make his own way in the world, via passion? Of course you do. We’ve discussed them extensively. Well, as it turns out, passion alone might not be enough to convince people to buy a pair of $30 Kardashian-branded socks from Neiman Marcus. What is it about passion that you people don’t understand?!?!

According to Radar, the socks are not selling as well as the upscale outlet had hoped, and they are even considering taking the drastic measure of dropping them. “Rob’s socks sold around the Christmas holiday, but since then no one has been really buying them,” a mole at the Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills store told Radar. “We actually had to ship a bunch out to other stores because they weren’t moving at all. To be honest, a lot of customers bought them more as a gag gift. At this point it doesn’t look like we’re going order anymore.”

Oh no! As the socks were being *exclusively* sold at Neiman Marcus, that would mean Rob’s passionate foot-tubes would no longer be for sale anywhere in the world. They would be extinct, like dinosaurs and the J-Lo clothing line. Quick, someone set up a Kickstarter fund to save them!

Of course, Neiman Marcus has been forced to issue a denial of these facts, writing in a statement:

The Arthur George by Robert Kardashian sock line has proven to be very popular with our customers. Currently we are carrying the socks in all 41 Neiman Marcus stores as well as at neimanmarcus.com, have just placed a large reorder in anticipation of Father’s Day and have a personal appearance with Rob scheduled next month in our Las Vegas store. In addition, we have several personal appearances scheduled for the fall.

Clearly, whoever released this statement is just trying to keep Rob Kardashian in the dark, so that when they actually do ruin his sock dreams, it will be all the more surprising to him and fun for them. I’d say I feel sad for Rob, but I know he’ll be fine. Some dreams are simply not meant to be.
