Now at The Gloss, we’re compiling a list of our favorite internet videos each day, to distract you for a few minutes in the afternoon. Enjoy!
The Gloss Top Video Pick:
1. Kristen Stewart Gives Graduation Wisdom
Full disclosure, the number one video you MUST watch today is the Tan Mom music video. Just go do it. Okay, you’re back? Fab. Let’s move on. It’s graduation season which means celebrities trade in their designer duds for commencement robes, ultimately making us all feel bad about the non-famous life paths we’ve chosen. While
Laura McDonald Kristen Stewart here does not go into her hatred of peplums, she gives her version of “valuable” graduation advice. Sadly, I will probably remember this more than what my own commencement speaker said.
2. Your Heart Will Melt In 3, 2, 1…
It’s Monday, which probably means you dragged yourself out of bed. But here, something fun and positive! Danielle – the video producer who helps bring Wed Bed Dead to life each week – actually made this video about love across the ages and it’s back on the trending circuit again. Seriously, how adorable is this? Turn that frown upside and all those other clichés, and just get happy because, LOVE!
3. The First Video Of Star Wars VII (Kind Of, I Wish)
A couple weeks ago, Patton Oswalt guest starred on Parks and Recreation and had a bit where he gave an impassioned filibuster detailing his plans for Star Wars: Episode VII. It was a magical speech, but now someone has gone ahead and animated the entire thing. It is now double magical. It’s also still better than Attack Of The Clones.
4. Let’s Go Voyeuristic Shopping
Did seeing the fashion at the Billboard Music Awards make you want to denounce clothing? Well, let’s ease you back into fashion by reminding you of all the fun times you’ve had with clothes. Specifically, watching characters in movies buy and wear them, while you sat on your couch and cried at your bills. But seriously, I’m a little surprised that Cher Horowitz’s technology to pick out her clothes really has not taken greater hold. Maybe just not among people in my income bracket?
5. Jenny Slate Has A Web Series: Discuss.
Everyone, I need you to weigh in here on Catherine. Is this funny? I fall on the “yes” side, because – I know it’s really weird – it seems to take place in the same alternate universe where every single one of my high school French textbooks and learning videos exists. The clothes are from an indeterminate period. Everyone makes stiff movements and speaks in very complete sentences. Modern technology never really takes hold. As such, I think it’s brilliant – but I def might be the only one…
