I am an unabashed fan of (almost) all things one-piece. From jumpsuits at work to strange backward rompers to simple black and white pieces, I think combining your top and bottom into one garment can look really wonderful. Last night, both Sarah Jessica Parker and Vanessa Hudgens opted for evening jumpsuits on the red carpet. Both looked great, in my opinion, but whose worked best?
Sarah Jessica Parker wore a simple black jumpsuit for the Friends in Deed benefit held in her honor. The strapless, form-fitting top portion, looser bottom and accompanying pointed-toed heels make this an easygoing but dressed-up look. I’m not a huge fan of the makeup — I think thick liner all the way around the eye doesn’t go well with her breezy, laid-back hair — and I do not love the animal skin satchel, but overall, I think this works for the event it was worn to.
At The Frozen Ground‘s UK premiere last night, Hudgens went with a beige, crystal embellished Jenny Packham jumpsuit. With its deep v-neck and sheer sleeves, this piece looked beautifully appropriate for the red carpet. I love her simple hairstyle and fresh, red lipped look. I can see how somebody might not be a fan of the super sparkly jumpsuit, and the fit around her torso seems a little off, but I really love this whole style.
So, which red carpet jumpsuit look did you like better?
