Every Magical Red Carpet Look Helen Mirren Has Worn In The Past Year

EE British Academy Film Awards - An Alternative View

At this very moment, Helen Mirren is probably lighting up a room. She is easily one of the most wonderful, awe-inspiring people on each red carpet she graces. Every time she steps out in public, she not only looks excellent, she also looks like she is having an incredibly good time.

As you may recall, we couldn’t help but give a standing ovation for her look at February’s BAFTA Awards where she donned pink hair and a gorgeous silver dress. When somebody is genuinely loving their life, you can tell; this is what makes Mirren’s whirls, twirls and turns in front of flashing bulbs so magical.

Dolce & Gabbana: Front Row - Milan Fashion Week Womenswear Autumn/Winter 2012/2013

For Dolce & Gabbana‘s Milan Fashion Week Autumn/Winter show, she wore one of my favorite looks on this list. The pale blonde hair, the beautiful butterfly dress, the pale pink duster (like, really, who can make those things look good?)…everything. So beautiful.

At The Door‘s Germany premiere, Mirren stepped out in a thick tweed coat and animal print shoes.

The Laurence Olivier Awards - Press Room

Ah, yes. The Olivier Awards. Amazing. Many of the guests on the red carpet looked gorgeous, but Mirren truly stunned.

Chelsea Flower Show - Press & VIP Preview Day

See? Everything flourishes around her. It’s a gift. Let this be a lesson to anyone who believes you need to be 23 and a supermodel in order to look incredible on the red carpet; you do not. Having a glowing personality, an excellent stylist (or sense of style for yourself) and a genuine smile are all it takes.
