Of all the qualifications Hillary Clinton thinks she must fulfill in order to run for president of the United States of America, “a svelte figure” is almost definitely not one of them. But that hasn’t stopped a bunch of fools from wildly speculating that she’s dieting to get in “fighting shape” for a potential 2016 presidential run.
They hold up as evidence the fact that Hillary recently had lunch with Dr. Mark Hyman, a longtime friend of the family who helped Bill Clinton recover from heart disease with exercise and a healthy vegan diet (hi, haters). Hyman’s girlfriend was there too, because doctors always bring their girlfriends along to medical consultations for moral support.
Via The New York Post:
Hillary Clinton is meeting with diet guru Dr. Mark Hyman — who’s credited with turning around Bill Clinton’s health — as she prepares for a 2016 presidential run. She was spotted dining with Hyman at the West Street Grill in Litchfield, Conn., Sunday night. Sources say Hillary, who was accompanied by four Secret Service agents and two troopers, drove an hour from her home in Chappaqua for the three-hour dinner with Hyman and his girlfriend.
An inspired Hillary ate a healthy meal of grilled salmon and seasonal fruits.
Do you hear that, people? She was going to order a Big Mac, but Dr. Hyman inspired her so much that she had salmon and fruit instead. She must really want to be president.
While it’s true that HIllary’s health was called into question after her blood clot scare at the end of last year, I’m pretty sure whatever diet alterations (if any) she made with regards to that issue occurred in the privacy of a doctor’s office. But that’s not the kind of diet the Post is talking about anyway, is it? They are talking about a diet to make her smaller, because no one is supposed to run for president who does not look great in a pair of skinny jeans, least of all a lady.
Only guess what? Hillary still does not give a shit what you think of her looks. Remember when she said this?
“I feel so relieved to be at the stage I’m at in my life right now. Because you know if I want to wear my glasses I’m wearing my glasses. If I want to wear my hair back I’m pulling my hair back. You know at some point it’s just not something that deserves a lot of time and attention. And if others want to worry about it, I let them do the worrying for a change.”
Yeah. I have a hunch Hillary is thinking way harder about policy, strategy, and other things that actually matter than how she is going to look in her pantsuits on the campaign trail, and that furthermore, that that’s one of the reasons people are going to vote for her.
