Did you ever wake up after a party, see yourself in the mirror, and just say, “Ugh!” A long night out can really do a number on your face, especially if you accidentally fell asleep with your makeup on. When that happens to me, I like to use a good exfoliant to help refresh my skin. (It sounds silly, but it makes me feel like I am rubbing off the effects of the night.)
Sure, in a perfect world every long night would be followed by a hangover facial, where I’d get to wrap myself up in blankets and listen to soothing music while someone massages my skin with something cool and goopy. Unfortunately, that won’t be happening, so here are six easy DIY face scrubs to help perk up your skin after a long night. Depending on your kitchen, you probably have the ingredients for at least one of these guys lying around.

2. Rice Face Scrub by KlairedeLysdotcom
This is a bit more involved than the other options, because it involves grinding up rice into a flour in your mortar and pestle. That’s a lot of work, but if you have a mortar and pestle and no place to be, it’s not a bad thing to do with your hands while you watch TV. Also, once it’s ground you can just keep it in a jar and use it again.
3. Strawberry Facial Scrub by Jennifer Brooks
Strawberries are good for your skin when you eat them. Give them a try topically as well.
