The fashion blog-o-sphere is in some disagreement today over the high-cut, undie-baring dress Daisy Lowe wore last night to the GQ Men of the Year Awards. Styleite called it “an intentional wardrobe malfunction,” while everyone here at The Gloss seems to love it…with the caveat that we mainly just think Daisy Lowe is hot. So which is it?
First, let’s take a better look at what she had goin’ on:
As you can see, she was quite aware her outer labia was poking out to say hi, even peering down at it as if to say “hi” back. So, Daisy Lowe’s filmy Saint-Laurent scorcher: fashion disaster, or bold tribute to the femoral artery?
Pro: She is doing something that’s not usually done. That is brave of her.
Con: It looks like a mistake to have that much of your crotch-parts showing.
Pro: The shoes (what shoes?) add a nice pop of color.
Con: She may have been “trying too hard,” which is never a good look for a starlet.
Pro: What’s a Saint Laurent garment without a hot mess who reminds you of the nineties to wear it? Daisy might be young, but her dad’s Gavin Rossdale, and she’s got a bit of Courtney Love‘s “devil may care” approach to the red carpet, no?
Pro: How are her boobs staying put so perfectly? Why isn’t anyone talking about that?
Pro: Those chiffon sleeves are pure Stevie Nicks.
Pro: Have I mentioned Daisy Lowe is a total dime piece?
Conclusion: Daisy Lowe can wear what she wants, and you are going to like it.
