In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the famously classy lingerie model was asked if she collects art, and responded in a way that was actually pretty refreshing:
“I don’t collect art, because I think to collect art you have to spend a lot of time to know it.”
That’s right, you should not pretend you know things about art if you do not. But the interviewer was really interested in her collecting habits, so he asked if she collects anything else, and she responded:
“I collect money. [Laughs.] This is the best thing to collect, especially with the crisis now.”
Collecting money. Isn’t that just what everyone is always trying to do, with various degrees of success? I think that is just called “saving,” but my knowledge of these things is shady.
But supermodel Irina Shayk, you must have some ridiculous rich person hobby that will make you stop sounding so damn sensible to the huddled masses who read Vanity Fair? Do you collect yachts? Rare, purebred dressage horses? DIAMONDS?
“And I collect Birkins, too. I love bags.”
She owns a shit ton of properties, too. Supermodels: they’re not just like us!
BRB, crying into my collection of unpaid medical bills.
