Lily Collins is relatively new as far as red carpet fixtures go, but she’s already established herself as a “risk taker,” someone who is “fashion forward,” and a little “daring.” We’re not always sure what people mean when they use those words, but we’re pretty sure it has something to do with crop tops.
Anyway, Collins is working diligently to achieve the role of budding style icon–a huge resource for an actress on her way up. Becoming a style icon basically means guaranteed coverage on a corner of the internet many young actresses don’t receive (fashion blogs), in addition to even bigger heaps of free clothes and lots of fawning Tumblr posts.
Collins dropped by the Spring 2014 Givenchy in Paris show yesterday, in her latest Budding Style Icon look:
She’s wearing an oversize sweatshirt by Givenchy, of course, which features a somewhat unsettling Bambi print (because Bambi is also a Budding Style Icon at the moment) but she seems to have forgotten her pants.
While we don’t have a problem with short hemlines in and of themselves–and we realize this has kind of been a thing for a while–we can’t help but feel this looks as though she’s simply missing half her outfit. Call us old fashioned?
