EVERYONE EXCEPT REESE WITHERSPOON.

In addition to the Hollywood Film Awards, last night saw Elle‘s annual Women in Hollywood bash–which was similarly star studded. In fact, it seemed that all the famous people who weren’t on the Hollywood Film Awards red carpet turned up at the Elle party. Check out Reese Witherspoon, Marion Cotillard, Melissa McCarthy and way more on the red carpet–as well as the return of Lea Michele.

Let’s start with the all-white contingent. You saw it on the Spring 2014 runways like crazy (as you often do in Spring). Actress Caitlin Fitzgerald switched it up, though, and added dusty rose pumps.

Brie Larson, who was great on United States of Tara, did all white. We can never love a square toe, sadly.

Joy Bryant made the all-white thing look pretty damn easy, though.

She (and her stylist) also recognized that the best accessory for such an ensemble is remarkably beautiful skin.

Kat Graham‘s statement necklace was crazy.

Glee‘s Naya Rivera wore a really strange jumpsuit.

Despite the eccentric waist panel, we’re into Ashley Madekwe‘s look. Mainly because she found the perfect lipstick for it.

Lea Michele, who has kept an understandably low profile in the wake of boyfriend Cory Monteith‘s death, slicked her hair back and wore an abdomen-focused dress.

We don’t understand Whitney Cummings‘ accessories.

And while we don’t quite get Shailene Woodley‘s dress, her hair and makeup were as great as can be.

    Why, Whitney?

She looks a bit off somehow.

I don’t if it’s just me, but Lea Michele looked *so sad*. If I saw her eyes on one of those “guess this person’s current emotional state” things, I’d have said sad.

And bubble dress had pockets. I would forgive a dress many things if it had pockets. Why don’t more dresses have pockets?!

Eva Amurri had my favorite look. Brilliant color and borderline bombshell!
