Blake Lively, as an actress, hasn’t been seen around these parts lately–her last big movie, Green Lantern, came out in 2011 (and grossed about half its budget). Since then, Lively’s kept things pretty low-key (despite marrying Ryan Reynolds), hanging out in upstate New York, and continuing to not use a stylist.
In fact, in the past year she’s done little more than threaten to launch a “lifestyle brand” and corresponding newsletter, just like everyone’s other favorite lifestyle brand/newsletter, GOOP. And also give the occasional interview about fancy ovens.
But until that newsletter launches, whenever it does, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Lively because L’Oreal Paris just Instagrammed a shot of the actress like so:
Per Google Translate, the accompanying caption reads: “Exclusive announcement: We welcome the gorgeous and talented Blake Lively new ambassador L’Oreal Paris! Definitely worth it!”
Which means Lively has scored a L’Oreal contract, one of the most coveted gigs in beauty. Not bad, considering she’s already the face of Gucci Première (and has appeared in a season or two of Chanel ads for her buddy Karl Lagerfeld).
It also means, of course: prepare to see Lively’s face on the side of every bus, from the pages of every magazine, and at the makeup counter of every drugstore (and so forth) for the foreseeable future.
