12 Cozy Oversize Sweaters For Lazy Lounging

All I want to do once it gets cold outside is curl up with a cup of hot tea and a trashy magazine while wearing a cozy garment I could fit a litter of kittens and a bag of Doritos into. I know I’m not alone in this, if what I see other women wearing these days is any indication; Long live the oversize sweater and the particular balance of lazy-cool that it brings to the colder months! I rounded up 12 of the best big old sweaters I could find, starting at 20 bucks and going all the way up to about $500. No matter the price, all of the slouchy sweaters I’ve found will fit the bill for cozy-chic.

Knit Sweater, H&M, $19.99. Cute, colorful and not too baggy. This sweater is roomy enough to feel oversize, but not so big that it totally hides your shape.

Shaggy Mixed Pattern Sweater, Forever 21, $27.99. Kinda 80s, kinda a dad sweater, but kinda cool, too.

Cashmere Blend Stole Cardigan, Uniqlo, $39.90. I like this one because it comes in five colors, can be used as a light jacket, and is the perfect thing to take with you on a plane (bundle it up and use it as a pillow!).

Global Glam Sweater, Modcloth, $52.00. The ardent Spice Girls fan inside of me very much wants this sweater.

Mango Oversize Sweater With Pockets, ASOS, $56.95 (on sale!). Slouchy and versatile. Pair with skinny jeans, big earrings, and ankle boots.

Cooperative Intarsia Slouchy Sweater, Urban Outfitters, $59.00. CATS ON A SWEATER! And also foxes! And also polar bears!

Snow Stories Sweater, Spool72, $62.00. The color and print on this sweater would brighten any any dreary cold day (which to this sun worshipper basically means ANY day where the temperature is below 55.)

Sugar Sweater, Need Supply Co., $68.00. This just looks so comfy. And I love the tapered sleeves!

MinkPink Fader Oversize Knit Sweater, Nordstrom, $79.00. Wear this with a pair of black leggings, a chunky scarf and boots and it’s a perfect weekend uniform for everything from errand running to marathoning Homeland.

Chunky Oversized Pullover, Free People, $108.00. Super comfy for sick days, hangovers and Olsen twin Halloween costumes (you know, if you were trying to bring back 2007).

Cowl Neck Poncho, Anthropologie, $128.00. The tassel detail here is just so good.

Theysken’s Theory Kalias Chunky Oversize Cardigan, ShopBop, $595.00. I wouldn’t pay almost $600 for an oversized cardigan, but damn if this one doesn’t look cozier than your grandmother’s house.
