The notorious Kim Kardashian half naked selfie that broke the internet this month was actually a naked selfie with a message, and that message is “shut the hell up about my pregnancy weight gain. I’m not fat. I’m sexy.”
On last night’s Tonight Show, Kardashian explained that she wanted to show everyone who called her fat how sexy she really is.
“I was trying on a bathing suit, and I actually just sent that to my boyfriend, my fiancé, and I was like, ‘Babe, can I post this up? This is my big, like, middle finger to the world on everyone that called me fat.’”
Let’s get one thing straight. The criticism of Kardashian’s weight before, during, and after her pregnancy is completely unacceptable, because—hey screw it, I’m not going to explain this to you. You already know.
While I maintain that Kardashian can respond to the criticism however she sees fit, it’s frustrating to me that her big middle finger to the criticism was to essentially prove that she’s still hot (as we all know, her perfect vagina is already back in fighting form). Instead of an actual middle finger that might say something like “eff off you worthless sons of bitches,” her response to bullying was essentially to say “no, you’ve got it wrong! I’m not that awful thing you accused me of!” And Kardashian has barely opened her mouth publicly without mentioning her rapid weight loss, as if that accomplishment overshadows the accomplishment of growing a human inside you and then pushing it out your perfect vagina. Can we all agree that Kim Kardashian is super hot and her vagina is magnificent and it doesn’t matter if she gained weight at any point in her life? Okay? Good.
