I am willing to bet Halloween at the White House is pretty epic given the whole “President of the United States” thing, which I assume means Michelle Obama has approximately 100,000 times more pressure than the rest of us to have an awesome Halloween hostess outfit.
The President chose to don an orange collared shirt with a simple black sweater overtop, while Michelle opted for a cute black and orange sweater with geometric colorblocking, black shoes and shiny, flippy hair. But her outfit’s crowning glory: a pair of amazing, bright orange bell-bottom pants.
I love them. I love them. I want to wear them every day ever.
While some may disagree with me, I think the FLOTUS did an amazing job dressing up for the holiday even sans costume. (My favorite color is orange, for the record, and I am a dubiously tacky dresser so I have a feeling my compliments for this outfit should be taken with a grain of salt.) I think I just so rarely see people, particularly women over 22, wearing bold shades of the color that I am extra stoked on the First Lady’s outfit.
Anybody agree? Disagree? Think all orange bell-bottomed pants need to be collectively burned? Also, check out these awesome White House pics of their Halloween decorations and guests:
AWESOME. Dear boyfriend: Please become President even though you weren’t born in this country so we can have this kind of Halloween party. Thanks.
