Since they’ve been teasing it for months now, you might know that Kate Moss has a Playboy cover in the works–and not just any Playboy cover, but the magazine’s 60th Anniversary issue, which lands in January.

The supermodel, who also turns 40 in January, will be photographed by longtime collaborators Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott… and the shoot will look something like this:

That indeed is the first image from the much-hyped shoot.

Playboy’s editorial director, Jimmy Jellinek, told the Los Angeles Times that they went with Moss because “this is a massive global brand [and] you need a global icon to celebrate that. That was the impetus. [...] You’re talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. She’s the perfect partner for us to launch the next 60 years.”

Sidenote: How long has it been since Moss had a Burberry campaign*?

As for Playboy founder Hugh Hefner: “She’s a worldwide, iconic celebrity and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modeling. It’s a natural for us.”

Anyway, that’s one for the already-substantial list of models who’ve posed for Playboy.

*According to this super-helpful part of the Burberry website: Moss’ last campaign for Burberry was in 2007.
