As I’ve mentioned more than a few times, I really dig Jennifer Lawrence‘s new look. In all honesty, I have never been a huge fan of hers (or a big fan, or even a medium fan, actually), but I do think she is great on the red carpet, such as a couple nights ago at the Hunger Games: Catching Fire world premiere in London when she wore Christian Dior. And I really like her hair, even if nobody else does. So it came as no surprise to me that her outfit for a Hunger Games photocall at the Villa Magna Hotel in Madrid today was fun, sexy and styled well.
J. Law went with blue and white matching knit crop top and skirt from Alexander McQueen‘s Spring 2014 collection. Personally, I am not a big fan of crop tops on the red carpet, but every once in a while, it’s done well, particularly when the wearer has chosen something that fits her figure perfectly, which this does. Plus, it’s not too cropped — just enough that there’s a hint of skin without going overboard on the underboob. And I love how the white design reminds me a bit of the fletching on an arrow, which is part of her Hunger Games character’s best weapon.
On her feet, she went with Jimmy Choo studded pumps that I was less fond of. They’re cool shoes, sure, but I don’t think they went well with this outfit.
Beauty-wise, Jennifer played it simple with a fresh face, charcoal liner, dark nail varnish and a mussed-up style of her new short hair.
Oh, and here she is with those guys everyone seems to like so much, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
What do you think of this look? Is it a solid one or something you would skip?
