Kendall Jenner Ditches Her Family To Vamp Up Her Career

"Kendall And Kylie" Fall Collection Preview

Kendall Jenner is a person I never thought I would know as much about as I do, but such is the nature of this wonderful adventure we call life. Our girl has gone and signed with The Society Management, a big name agency that represents the likes of Adriana Lima and Liu Wen.

The agency confirmed that Jenner would be joining their roster after that risque Instagram of her’s went viral earlier this week (the shot was tagged with #TheSocietyManagement). Jenner is hoping to end her career as a member of a famous family and make it on her own (famous) name as a model.

According to The Huffington Post, Jenner has been open about wanting to leave reality TV and pursue modeling full time. Earlier this year, she said that she aimed to move away from the commercial shoots she’d done, saying ”I want to be more editorial, but hopefully I’ll just prove myself.”

I’m all for a career change at any age, and it’s great that Jenner is pursuing a career that she wants, as opposed to being a child who one day woke up with cameras filming every move she made. Modeling is a legitimate profession (it’s a job you have to go to, as opposed to just being famous for being famous), and anything Jenner can do to support herself outside of her famous family is admirable. Forgive me, but I do sort of wish the big announcement had been “Kendall Jenner applies to college,” but I’ll take an independent career over “Reality Star.”

Kendall, I just want the best for you.

She’s my favorite Kardashian, and she’s lovely to look at.

This article is over a month old yet I don’t see her on The Society Management’s web page portfolio under either Women or Development.
