Kanye West just ordered us all to boycott Louis Vuitton. We know you were planning on buying at least six logo-covered Speedy bags on your lunch break this afternoon, but you’d better hold off on that for a few months, because Kanye says so and Kanye is the boss of you.
Of course, Kanye West just wrote two diss tracks and threw an epic freak-out mid-concert because Hedi Slimane told him to do something, but he’s going to tell you what to do anyway. Because he’s a God, and we’re all just put here to take his orders.
According to Contact Music, Kanye West went on the radio last night with his latest commandment: that everybody in New York stop buying any Louis Vuitton until January, because Kanye West wants to teach Louis Vuitton a lesson, and we are his personal army.
“While I was in Paris I wanted to meet the head of Louis Vuitton and he said, ‘I don’t understand why we need to meet with you?’ I said, ‘Let me explain to you why you need to meet with me.’Â Everybody in New York City right now, don’t buy any Louis Vuitton until after January. Now do you wanna meet with me? Influence. They think that I don’t realize my power,” Kanye said.
Kanye’s latest commandment has me conflicted. On the one hand I want to tell him that he is not the boss of me and cannot tell me what to do. On the other hand, I’m not going to be buying any Louis Vuitton this month, so I guess that’s a victory for Kanye.
A+, Kanye. You did it.
