The Tacky, Glitzy, Worst Dressed On The 2013 American Country Awards Red Carpet

We’ve already discussed who looked good at last night’s American Country Awards (Sheryl Crow and Jewel, mainly). Unfortunately, those were the exceptions to the rule. Let’s take a look at some of last night’s tackier looks.

American Country Awards 2013 - Arrivals

I’m sure some people will like what Chelsea Bain wore, but to me it looks like a Speedo bathing suit grew up to become an evening gown. Yuck. I’ll give it to her for the pretty hair and makeup, but EESH–not those shoes, girl.

It boggles my mind how anyone could look at this dress and say, “Yes, that’s what I want to wear to a nationally-televised awards ceremony!” Host Danica Patrick‘s Badgley Mischka is gaudy, poorly styled (a zig-zag necklace and heavy metal shoes?!) and makes her look like she can’t decide between dressing up as a cowgirl or a knight for Halloween.

Jenna Straub, who is a model, looks like an unfortunate escapee from the Real Housewives franchise.

I’m sorry, Carrie Keegan. I want to like you because we share the same first name, but this is a pile of wannabe Goth heinousness.

I don’t actually think Sara Evans‘ ensemble is that terrible, especially for a show like this, but I think a dress like this would have worked better with smaller jewels and a bag that doesn’t look like the cell phone your dad had in 1998.
